Here’s a great way that Dulux raised money for Unicef while giving the user kudos in return.
When the average computer, smartphone or tablet can display 16.7 million colours, what do you call them? It would be a bit dull if they were all red, yellow, blue etc. Dulux encouraged people to visit their Own A Colour website, pick their favourite hue and have it named after themselves. For every colour named, £1 was donated to children’s charity Unicef. Users were then encouraged to share their personal colour across social networks and encourage others to do the same.
